Location: Yakima , Downtown Yakima
The HCC Cinco de Mayo Planning Committee has started planning for the 2020 Cinco de Mayo Cultural Fiesta set for Saturday May 2nd & Sunday & May 3rd in Downtown Yakima.
One of the important actions is the recruitment of candidates for the Ms. Cinco Scholarships. This is not a beauty pageant and the winners are selected based on scholastic ability, community involvement and leadership to serve as a role model for young women. The young ladies will be taken on a journey to learn about local, state & federal government, public speaking, professional relationship building and so much more.
One of the biggest attractions is the Charro Parade that includes groups of Charros representing different regions of Mexico with their beautiful attire, and Mexican cowboys with prancing horses that compete at the end of the parade. Any group or persons interested in participating in the parade can sign up at no cost.
